Takesi

Mariana Iturralde in Bolivia

A shared stake in quality

Everyone at Takesi works across all stages of production, from picking to drying, rather than being confined to one part of the process. This gives the whole team a shared stake in the coffee's quality, and contributes to a level of consistency that's difficult to achieve when responsibilities are more divided.

Washed processing

Takesi uses the same washed process across nearly all of its coffees. The one exception is maragogype, whose notably larger bean size means the mucilage removal and fermentation time both need to be adjusted to suit it.
