To acknowledge the outstanding quality in the cup, we have chosen to pay 46.30 UDS/KG based on the quality of Morales' coffee. We call it a 'return to origin' so you know the direct impact your coffee choice has on the farmer. Thank you for being a part of this rewarding journey.
We have laid out all the numbers for you in our Transparency Report.
About Morales
This is our first year working with Alejandro Morales. Finca Rosma was established in 1963 by Alejandro Morales, who purchased a farm planted with old Bourbon and Typica trees. In 1980, his son Fredy took over and renamed it Rosma, as an homage to his wife, Rose Mary.
Back then, the only way to transport coffee from the farm’s location deep in the Huehuetenango valley was on the backs of mules. In a collaborative effort, Fredy, together with other members of the community, built a road to make transport easier.
Today, Rosma is run by Fredy alongside his son, Alejandro Jr. The family has gained widespread recognition both nationally and internationally, thanks to frequent CoE appearances and victories.
They notably won the CoE in 2025 with a stunning washed Gesha and also placed 6th with another washed Gesha from a different farm — which is how we became aware of Rosma and their expertise in crafting outstanding coffees.
