The farmer

Reinel Perez took over the farm, Finca Circasia from his in-laws. It is truly a family farm as he shares the responsibilities of growing and processing coffee together with his wife. Even his daughter-in-law takes part as she is responsible for post-harvest processing the coffee with Reinel Perez’s son.

Direct trade

We work by the values of transparent trade. This helps create a healthy relationship with the farmer and financial sustainability for them.

We pay a quality bonus to Reinel Perez that is 65% above market price ($5,05/lb FOB). The quality bonus allows the farmer to continue to produce higher quality coffee.
