The ideal candidate joining our bar management team will have an excellent sense of bar oversight, strong barista skills, and a genuine interest in customer service. A real passion for helping a team function smoothly on a day-to-day level, along with strong communication skills, is also essential for the sous chef roles at Coffee Collective. The sous chef position is a fully on-bar role and offers 37 hours per week (4–5 shifts per week) on a Monday-Sunday rotating rota.

- A strong interest in leading a team in collaboration with the bar manager
- Someone who gets a buzz from being a fantastic colleague and contributing to great team spirit
- A strong interest in building a long-term career within the coffee industry
- Someone who enjoys delivering service at the highest level, seeking out knowledge, and passing it on to our guests
- Leadership experience is a plus, ideally from a similar industry
Responsibilities:
- Bar shifts
- Shift leading in collaboration with the bar manager
- Daily control of coffee quality
- Training staff together with the bar manager
- Managing stock and ordering supplies
- Coordinating cover for shifts affected by illness
- Carrying out and overseeing daily cleaning
- Assisting the bar manager with ongoing tasks
- Organising social events for the team
- Continuously working to improve the café’s sustainability
