To create the best coffee experiences in the world and in a way, that benefits the farmers are what drives us. Our focus is sustainability and transparency from bean to cup. We aim to set new standards in the coffee industry in the way we trade, recruit, brew and serve. We aim to be curious about anything with coffee.

The ideal candidate, who will get a management role has an exceptional flair for workflow in the coffee shop, strong barista skills and a high degree of interest in hospitality. We see it as a high value if the candidate has communication skills and an interest in making the team perform to standard in the day-to-day operation at Coffee Collective. The ideal candidate should see yourself as a bar manager in the future and should have a strong desire to develop management skills.

The Sous chef applicant is a full-time on-bar role and offers 37 hours a week (4 – 5 shifts a week) in a Monday – Sunday rotating schedule.
 

We are looking for a person who:

  • Has a Can-do mentality
  • Has an interest in managing a team together with the Bar chef
  • Gets a kick from being an awesome colleague, and can contribute to the teamwork
  • Has an interest in building a career in the coffee industry
  • Enjoys doing hospitality at a high level, and is curious about obtaining knowledge and sharing it with guests
  • Management experience is a plus, preferably from a similar industry
     

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Bar-shifts
  • Shift leading in collaboration with the Bar chef
  • Daily quality control of the coffee
  • Educating the staff in collaboration with the Bar chef
  • Ordering of the inventory
  • Coordinating shifts in terms of sickness
  • To conduct and control the daily cleaning tasks
  • Assist the Bar chef with side tasks
  • Organize social activities for the staff
  • Continuously work to improve the coffee shops’ focus on sustainability

We are seeking Sous chefs for the following bars “Jærgersborggade” and “Torvehallerne”. Both are located in Copenhagen.

We expect to start the position in February / March 2024.

Souschef-stillingen er fuldt ud on-bar-rolle og tilbyder 37 timer om ugen (4-5 vagter om ugen) i roterende vagtplan fra mandag-søndag.

Ansvarsområder:

  • Barvagter
  • Shiftleader i samarbejde med barchefen
  • Kontrol af kaffekvalitet på daglig basis
  • Uddannelse af personale i samarbejde med barchefen
  • Lagerbeholdning, bestilling af varer
  • Koordinering af vagter forårsaget af sygdom
  • Udførelse og kontrol af daglig rengøring
  • Assistere barchefen med løbende opgaver
  • Organisere sociale sammenkomster for teamet
  • Kontinuerligt arbejde med at forbedre kaffebarens bæredygtighed
