On the 15th of February it will be ten years since we moved in to the basement at Jægersborggade and opened a micro roastery and coffee shop.
We are excited about this anniversary and want to celebrate it with our beloved guests, so on this Thursday all coffee drinks will be sold for 10 kr. (10 years = 10 kroners, get it?!) and the turnover will go directly to a project at one of the coffee producers we have worked with for eight years: Kieni. If you want to give more than 10,- for your coffee drink, the money will go straight to this project.
Our webshop is also celebrating the anniversary with 20% off all coffees for the whole day.
The goal for The Coffee Collective has always been to present tasty and interesting coffees. And at the same time ensuring the farmers get the opportunity to improve quality, as they are the ones who create the starting point for this whole experience. We want the celebration of our birthday to benefit both our guests and coffee farmers.
At Kieni in Kenya there are two wishes ranking highest on their wish list. As they are putting in a lot of work to maintain the drying beds made out of wood their first wish is new metallic drying beds. The second wish is a moisture meter as it will make the work even more precise. We’re hoping to gather enough money to put up a good amount of metallic drying tables and get the mill manager Josphat a moisture meter.
The celebration will take place in our four coffee shops in Copenhagen:
The hope is to fulfill these two wishes from Kieni. We look forward to celebrate the birthday with all of our beloved guests!
