The farmer

Takesi is owned by the Iturralde family and run by Juvenal Quijhua who, with a unique understanding of nature and detail, has fulfilled the high ambitions of the family and created coffees of exceptional quality.

Direct Trade

We work by the values of transparent trade. This helps create a healthy relationship with the farmer and financial sustainability for them.

We pay a quality bonus to the Iturralde family, that is 3074% above market price ($40/lb FOB). The quality bonus allows the farmer to continue to produce higher quality coffee.
