The farmer

On our recent visit to Konyo, we met up with Josphat Gitumu Wambuci and Nancy Wangeci Kaguuru. Josphat is the factory manager and has 20 years of experience managing wet mills. Nancy is the accountant at Konyu. It’s her 15th year at Konyu.

Quality Bonus

We work by the values of transparent trade. This helps create a healthy relationship with the cooperative and financial sustainability for them.

We pay a quality bonus to Konyu that is 334% above market price ($5.44/lb FOB). The quality bonus allows the farmer to continue to produce higher quality coffee.
